Sunday March 27, 2022, photographer Jean-Marie Périer shared an unpublished snapshot of his friend Michel Polnareff. The singer appears in a snapshot from the 60s, without glasses.
Michel Polnareff has always cultivated a singular appearance and notably wears his essential white glasses. Sunday March 27, 2022, photographer Jean-Marie Périer, known for his many photos of celebrities such as Johnny Hallyday, Jacques Dutronc and Françoise Hardy, decided to share an unpublished photo on his Instagram account.
This is a snapshot taken in 1966, when Michel Polnareff was just beginning his career as a singer. The interpreter of Goodbye Marilou appears in profile, facing a rabbit. And if the photo is completely new, it’s because he appears with the long straight hairbut above all without glasses.
Jean-Marie Périer has moreover underline this detail in description. « I liked it when you saw his eyes » he wrote before adding a quote from Françoise Sagan: « The party is a secret, sacred and sacrilegious thing. The party is not done with feathers in a nightclub, it is done in the dark with someone« . On the side of the photographer’s subscribers, some did not fail to point out his striking resemblance with the woman of letters.
Michel Polnareff is preparing to return to the stage next May
Since the release of his album At last ! in 2018, Michel Polnareff had disappeared from the radar. Danyellah’s husband and Louka’s father had finally announced his return last January. He had revealed the news of the release of his new album and his new tour, Polnarêveson Twitter.
His French fans are preparing to meet him for a « immersive experience« on the stage of Palace in Paris from May 5 until July 10. A return which should allow Michel Polnareff to find your audiencewhen he was close to death in 2016, after a pulmonary embolism.
