An investigation that looks into the fall of Dominique Strauss-Kahn, after the accusations of sexual assault brought against him in 2011 by Nafissatou Diallo. A terrible affair which, at the time, echoed the personal experience of Tristane Banon, who herself filed a complaint against the former politician for attempted rape.
But during his interview in DailyTristane Banon also spoke about another resounding case of sexual violence: the terrible testimonials from 20 womenwho accuse Patrick Poivre d’Arvor inappropriate behavior, sexual assault and rape. Faced with Yann Barthès, the writer notably revealed that PPDA was aware of his attempted rape. She confided to him the facts which occurred in 2003, just after they occurred. And the former presenter of the 20 hours of TF1 would then have encouraged him to publicly denounce the actions of DSK.

« It’s quite crazy, because it was even he who told me that it was absolutely necessary to make these facts known, that this man risked being President of the Republic one day and that we could not accept that a potential President of the Republic was a sexual criminal. And he was the first to tell reporters about what happened to me. That’s how I was contacted by journalists the very first time. » reported Tristane Banon.
A behavior now surprising when we know today the accusations against Patrick Poivre d’Arvor. « It’s true that when you know what happened in his life, it’s pretty crazy »said the novelist, who then assured that this situation was difficult to live with: « For me, I’m not hiding it from you, it’s very complicated. » Tristane Banon does not, however, question the word of the accusers. « You have to hear these women. What they say for some is quite terrible », she said, even if she recalled that « we must let justice be done ». Regarding Patrick Poivre d’Arvor, the writer assured that she was no longer in contact with him today: « I haven’t had him on the phone at all and we haven’t spoken for several years, let alone on this subject.«
