Protect your cat from parasites in summer
Summer is the preferred season for ticks and mites, which appreciate particularly high temperatures. They are more common in tall grasses and shrubs. These parasites can transmit infectious diseases to your cat, which are dangerous for their health. Therefore, it is important to protect your cat outdoors with a pesticide, ideally from spring.
There are different types of pesticides that can be replaced more or less frequently, depending on the dosage:
- Parasite control bands limit the number of tick bites and usually have a duration of action of several months
- The spot-ons or parasite pipettes consist of a product that is applied to your cat’s neck and then spreads over your cat’s fur
- Antiparasitic tablets are administered orally, causing the death of parasites after the bite
- Consult your veterinarian for more information on the ingredients, dosage and possible side effects of Antiparasita for cats.
