Lidl strikes a blow with this new floral collection at bargain prices for this spring

Lidl

Lidl is once again striking a blow on its competition! The discount supermarket chain of German origin is getting ready for sunny days, offering us a whole range of items for your gardens. The Objeko editorial team tells you everything in this article!

Lidl plants at unbeatable prices

We knew the Lidl discount supermarket chain was strong for food and beauty products. We also know the flawless reputation of their seasonal products in all areas, from high-tech to cooking and DIY. But Lidl is also unbeatable when it comes to plants and flowers!

Rather than going to your traditional nursery or flower seller, take advantage of the unbeatable offers from your German supermarket! For people with a large garden, the brand offers fruit trees to plant. You can even find olive trees for the ridiculously low price of €15.99. You will also find apple trees, pear trees, plum trees, and even cherry trees. But it will be necessary to act quickly, because these will be sold very quickly!

Are you more flowery? You will be served! Lidl is also selling oleanders for €11.99 each, and cacti and succulents at prices ranging from €5.99 to €9.99.

Finally, begonias and jasmine are also in the spotlight. These plants beautify your terraces, and can also grow on balconies! We told you, Lidl has thought of everyone! All you have to do is rush to the store to take advantage of its offers, because there won’t be any for everyone…

Lidl: the king of bargains

Lidl is without a doubt the king of bargains. It’s very simple, you can find everything there, at an unbeatable price! The discount supermarket chain has outperformed all its competitors, such as Dia, ED, and even Aldi, by investing in quality. The brand’s products are inspired by the biggest brands, and even go beyond them! Everything is still sold at a very reasonable price. The clientele has greatly diversified since the arrival of Lidl in France. From the working classes, word of mouth has extended the market to the more affluent classes. Thus, the brand has adapted and offers more high-end products to satisfy everyone.

Lidl now reigns alongside major brands such as Monoprix, Leclerc and Carrefour, and has thus succeeded in breaking away from its image as a discount supermarket. And they worked hard for it!

In addition to food products, Lidl curries favor with its customers through weekly promotional offers. From gardening equipment to High Tech objects, the German brand impresses us every week!

The Lidl Plus offer has also just been launched in France this month. This is a loyalty card allowing you to make even more savings by shopping in the brand’s stores. With so many advantages, it is not surprising that the company is developing at full speed in our regions, but also throughout Europe!

A brand in turmoil

Unfortunately, not everything is rosy at Lidl. Behind the shelves and the bargains, real tragedies have tarnished its reputation… Objeko would like to remind you that even in our favorite stores, there are men and women who work, and not necessarily in the best conditions.

We are in 2014. The discount supermarket chain is still in its major expansion phase. The stores are modernizing, and the brand wants to give a better image of itself. New managers are employed, in order to revitalize Lidl, and especially its warehouses.

The problem is that the human resources cannot keep pace. Employees are pushed to the limit by aggressive managerial techniques. They complain of excessive daily work, and too weak technical means.

On May 29, 2015, tragedy struck. Yannick Sansonetti, employee in the Lidl warehouse in Rousset, in the Bouches-du-Rhône, kills himself. At the end of his rope, the man hangs himself in the warehouse, as a sign of protest. This is of course amazement for everyone. An investigation is then opened for intentional homicide.

Two years later, the Cash Investigation teams lead the investigation, and update the terrible working conditions of the employees of the Lidl warehouse. It would seem that Yannick’s death did not serve as a lesson…

It should also be noted that searches took place in the Lidl warehouse in Ploumagoar, in the Côtes-d’Armor. This houses the brand’s regional management. Nine people, including the regional director, were taken into police custody following this intervention by the courts, for other complaints of harassment.
