Nick Cave in mourning: his second son died at the age of 31, seven years after the death of the first

Monday, May 9, 2022, singer Nick Cave announced the death of his eldest son, Jethro Lazenby. The 31-year-old model had just been released from prison at the time.

Nick Cave is in mourning. He just lost his eldest son, Jehtro Lazenby, seven years after the loss of her other son, Arthur Cave. The 31 year old man born in 1991 of his extramarital affair with model Beau Lazenby was model and also stood out on the big screen in Corroboree in 2007 and My Little Princess in 2011.

The singer of the group Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds indicated in a press release sent on Monday, May 9, 2022 to Mirror, the news of his death without specifying the causes. « It is with great sadness that I confirm that my son, Jethro, has died. We would appreciate some family privacy during this time. » he said. Jethro Lazenby had been imprisoned in April for attacking his mother in Melbourne, Australia. The young man who had been diagnosed as schizophrenic was released from prison on May 5.

Nick Cave lost his son Arthur in 2015

Nick Cave had had a difficult relationship start with Jethro Lazenby, whom he had only met when he was seven or eight years old. After that, father and son grew closer and had good relations. For his part, the Australian rocker then had three other children. In 2015, Nick Cave had to deal with the death of his 15-year-old son Arthur. The young man had fatally fell off a cliff 18 meters in Brighton, England. Devastated by the loss of his son, Nick Cave was then released two albums inspired by this tragedy: skeleton tree in 2016, and Ghosteen in 2019.
