The prognosis Canalturf.com
Quinté+ Sunday at Auteuil with the Grand Steeple-Chase de Paris, Group I race, over 6000 meters, for all horses 5 years old and above. The terrain is announced as very soft (4.0) by France Galop. JEM SALT (our photo) has a very attractive profile.
15 SALT YWAM : He is a 5-year-old high-class jumper. He made a very good impression during the successes of April 9 in the Prix Murat (Gr. II) and March 20 in the Prix Troytown (Gr. III). It has a lot of substance and hold. The 6000 meters should benefit this excellent jumper and finisher.
5 WISP : Third in this Group I in 2020, he has just reassured by winning the Group III Prix Ingré in a very good way, over 4400 meters. He will present himself in excellent physical condition and with a morale of steel for this objective.
11 CHIEF GENERAL : Fifth in this Grand Steeple-Chase de Paris in 2021, he prepared by running only twice this year, in the Prix Murat and Troytown in which he finished fifth. His two outings must have been profitable to him. In view of its potential, it deserves credit in this prestigious event.
3 AL BOUM PHOTO : It is one of the three starters of the formidable Willie Mullins in this Quinté+. A regular Group I level jumper in Great Britain, he should be very wary for his debut at Auteuil.
1 FREE OF CARRIAGE : This other resident of Willie Mullins is also a high quality jumper. Judged on his best performances in Great Britain, he can be retained in a selection.
9 GEX : He ran little and was brought to the steeple late, but he is a very good quality horse. His victory on April 14, in a Class 1 on the 4400 meter course, was pleasant and says a lot about his current possibilities. With James Reveley as a jockey, he is a fine outsider.
14 NIKO HAS : In only five steeplechase attempts, this 5-year-old gelding has three victories and a first accessit. On April 19, he won by 10 lengths in a Listed on the course of 4700 meters. Watch out for him!
8 EDDY DE BALME : This brave servant finished sixth in this Grand Steeplechase last year. Fourth in the Prix Ingré and second in the Prix Troytown, he seems ready to give a good performance in the Group this Sunday. For a small place, it is far from being an impossibility.
In case of non-starter : 10 DREAM WISH

The forecast ZEturf.fr
SEL JEM, ride youth!
It’s time for the moment long awaited by lovers of the obstacle, the Grand-Steeple Chase of Paris, support of the Ze5-event This year. A very nice field is offered to us and it is with a certain confidence that we will give our confidence to the one who dazzled the first half, jem salt, well placed to offer a seventh grail to his mentor. He is only five years old and will tackle the distance the first time around but he is a logical favorite on paper.
The youth could totally take over since Niko Has promises to be a solid challenger, he who arrives at this event with a lot of freshness and an attractive success in the Prix William Head (Listed). It’s hard to know what it’s really worth against the best, but it’s a classy competitor. Among the best French hurdlers, Gex is also a candidate for the podium, he who swept the opposition on April 14th. He jumps several steps at once but on a big day, he is able to beat anyone, beware. Winner of the last preparatory and confirmed at the highest level, Will-o’-the-wisp necessarily deserves credit as Dream Wishif he does not lose too much time in the last turn, Happy Monarchwhich has passed several stages since this winter and the Irish Burrows Saint, which will pose perhaps the biggest threat among visitors. Finally, we will keep General in Chief at the end of the day, while reminding us that he needs to reassure us.
