17. Kevin Gameiro (Strasbourg)
18. Elye Wahi (Montpellier)

In details:

Player of the day: Lovro Majer (Rennes)

In the oven and in the mill, the Rennes midfielder was in all the good moves against Saint-Etienne. The Croat has often been the initiator of good movements in Rennes. His work to recover the ball at Mangala’s feet and serve Bourigeaud, who couldn’t find the target, is the perfect symbol of his defensive and offensive activity in this match. He is rewarded for his efforts with a precious double for his team in the race for the Champions League.

Marco Bizot (Brest)

The last bulwark in Brest repelled all the attacks from Clermont. Vigilant on two shots from Zedadka in the first period, the Dutch goalkeeper then hearted the Clermont players in the second half, by multiplying the decisive interventions in his area.

Malo Gusto (Lyon)

Now installed in Peter Bosz’s eleven, the young right-back performed very well against OM. His attacking runs destabilized the Marseille defence, and one of them resulted in a decisive cross for Dembl. Defensively, he was not put in difficulty.

Baptiste Santamaria (Rennes)

Again positioned in central defense against Saint-Etienne, due to the suspension of Aguerd, the midfielder this time convinced. Very good at reading the game and imperial in the air, he recovered all the balls behind.

Castello Lukeba (Lyon)

The revelation of the Lyon season, the young central defender never seems affected by the pressure of major events. He proved it again against OM by exuding great serenity in his speeches. He made a good comeback to hamper Milik before the Pole struck above the Lopes bar in the first period. He was rewarded with a goal which allowed OL to take the lead.

Lilian Brassier (Brest)

Preferred Uronen in the left-back position, the central back had a good match against Clermont. He withstood the attacks from Clermont on his side and opened the scoring following a corner.

Youcef Belali (Brest)

Involved in the two Brest goals, the attacking midfielder was very prominent against Clermont. Technically above the lot, the Algerian took the game on his own and delivered a very good performance, with a decisive pass the key.

Florian Tardieu (Troyes)

Facing Lille, the captain of Troyes did not tremble to score two penalties which allowed his team to take a big step towards maintenance. In addition to his two goals, the Trojan midfielder was precise in play and valuable defensively.

Moses Simon (Nantes)

Author of his first double in Ligue 1, the Nantes winger was a constant poison for the Lens defense. His speed, already the source of his first goal, punished the mistakes of his opponents and led to the expulsion of Leca, who hit him. On his second goal, the Nigerian demonstrated all his flair, before narrowly missing the hat-trick in the second half.

Kylian Mbapp (Paris SG)

As is often the case this season, the Paris Saint-Germain prodigy is present in his team’s difficult times. Thanks to his speed, the attacker embodied a real poison for Strasbourg, with obviously this equalization of a shot between the legs of Sels. Even if Nyamsi sometimes managed to limit the damage, the French international was one of the only ones able to change the rhythm of the Parisian game. A decisive passer on Hakimi’s goal, he even took advantage of an error by Djiku to score a double.

El Bilal Tower (Reims)

For his first tenure since returning from a long injury, the Malian striker was in style against Lorient. Decisive passer for Zeneli on the first goal of Reims, he made the break by throwing himself on a cross from Doumbia. A great decisive performance which validates the maintenance of the Champagne club!
